Promaster 8152 24X24in. Softbox

The 24x24 size is perfect for portrait work—it softens shadows beautifully without taking up too much studio space. I’ve been getting much more natural catchlights in my subjects’ eyes since switching to this.

Even my cheap strobe now produces gorgeous, flattering portraits—the 24x24 size is perfect for headshots and the fabric diffuses light so evenly that I’ve stopped using my regular umbrella entirely. Setting it up takes about two minutes and it folds flat for storage.

This softbox cuts harsh shadows beautifully, and the 24x24 size is perfect for headshots. Setup was quicker than I expected, and the light quality is noticeably softer.
