Promaster 8180 36in. Octagonal Softbox

The octagonal shape really does the trick—my portraits have that soft, even wrap-around light with zero harsh hotspots on the cheeks. Set it up once and it’s been a permanent fixture in my studio ever since.

Took me about 20 minutes to set up this octagonal softbox, and it collapsed down even faster for storage. The light it produces is genuinely soft and wraps around subjects nicely, exactly what I needed for product shots without harsh shadows.

Used this for a portrait session and the quality of light is just beautiful—much softer than my old umbrella. It collapses down pretty easily for transport too.
