I was a bit nervous buying used, but the VR works perfectly for handheld shots at the long end. The 18-300mm range really delivered for a day of wandering through a city market and a nature trail without swapping lenses.

The 18-300mm range is perfect for my travel kit—I grabbed a sharp shot of a deer at 300mm without changing lenses. Despite being used, the glass is clear and the VR really helps with handheld shots at the long end. So far it’s lived up to the all-in-one promise for daily walkaround use.

It’s a hefty chunk of glass, but the 18-300mm range means I rarely need to swap lenses on a hike. Autofocus is quick enough for most shots, and the VR definitely helps at the long end.
