Working distance is really the star here—I can light my subject without the lens shadow ruining everything, and the all-metal build feels solid. This thing lets me see details on a coin that I never noticed before, which is exactly what I needed for my jewelry photography.

The 5x magnification is insane—I can fill the frame with a single grain of rice. Manual focus is tricky but precise once you get the hang of it with the helicoid ring. For extreme macro on a budget this lens is hard to beat.

Working with the built-in focusing helicoid gives me precise control at 4x, and the depth of field is razor-thin but exactly what I needed for insect details. The included lens hood is a nice touch for protecting the front element during field use.
