Canon RF 2x Extender

I was worried about losing sharpness with a 2x teleconverter, but this one retains detail surprisingly well even at the long end of my RF 70-200mm. The weather-sealing gives me peace of mind when shooting outdoors in light drizzle.

Popped this on my RF 100-500mm and it still autofocuses fast enough for birds in flight—really impressive for a 2x. The extra reach makes distant subjects fill the frame without a noticeable drop in sharpness, which is exactly what I needed for wildlife.

The build quality is excellent and it locks onto the lens with zero play. I’ve been using it with a telephoto lens and the autofocus is still snappy, even in lower light. Definitely glad I added this to my kit for extra reach.
