The clamp on this boom arm locks down tight with no slippage, even when I've got a heavy softbox tilted at an odd angle. It's sturdy aluminum and the swivel action makes fine adjustments a breeze.

The locking mechanism on the tilt head is really solid, which gives me confidence it won't sag with a heavy reflector. I've been using it for studio portraits and the grip on the spring clamp holds everything perfectly in place.
