The tripod foot alone makes this a worthwhile gamble—if you can get it working, it's a steal. I'm hoping a simple fix will bring it to life, given the solid build.

Even though it’s listed AS IS, the included TripodFoot was actually in better shape than I expected, and the unit feels sturdy enough for basic use.

I was pleasantly surprised that the tripod foot included in the "as is" condition is actually quite sturdy and well-made. It sets up easily on uneven ground, which is exactly what I needed for my photography work.
