USED Nikon 50mm f1.4 ais

Used a few different 50mm lenses over the years, but this f/1.4 AIS has that distinct, smooth focus ring action the older Nikons are known for. The optics are nicely clear even wide open, and for the price this used copy was a steal.

The aperture ring clicks into place with that satisfying, precise feel you only get from older all-metal lenses. Sharpness wide open is surprisingly good for a manual focus lens from this era, and it handles beautifully on mirrorless with an adapter.

I picked this up used, and the manual focus ring has a smooth, precise feel that makes zone focusing a breeze. Build quality is solid, and for a vintage lens, the glass is still impressively clear with no haze.
