Each page has a basis weight of 120 gsm and the cover has a textured wood-grain feel to it. The stitched binding lays perfectly flat when I sketch across the spread, which is a huge plus for me. The light gray paper has just enough tooth to hold charcoal without smudging excessively.

I finally found a sketchbook where my silver and white pencils actually pop—the 120 gsm light gray paper is thick enough to hold up to layering without bleeding. The A4 size gives me plenty of room for detailed studies, and the anthracite cover stays clean in my bag.

The stitched binding lays completely flat, which is perfect for keeping my ink sketches from smudging across the spread. At 120 gsm the paper has a lovely slight tooth but still takes a fine liner without any bleed through. Forty sheets feels generous for the price too.
