This little 27mm f/2.8 is so compact it barely sticks out from my camera body, yet it still gives a bright enough aperture for indoor shots without flash. The autofocus is snappy enough for street photography, and the image quality is surprisingly sharp for its size.
Picked this up used and it’s genuinely tiny — barely sticks off the camera body, which makes it perfect for slipping into a jacket pocket. The f/2.8 is plenty bright for low-light street shots, and the aperture ring clicks with a satisfying precision that feels way more premium than the price I paid
The focus ring feels incredibly smooth, and the compact size makes it perfect for slipping into my bag with a body attached. It’s sharp even when I shoot wide open at f/2.8, and the weather sealing gives me peace of mind on overcast days.
