Nikon HN-43 Lens Hood

Finally got around to getting a proper hood and this one screws on smoothly, instantly cutting out the side flare I was seeing in sunny shots. It’s lightweight but feels solid enough to bump around in my bag without worry.

I kept putting off buying a hood for my 50mm, but this one screws on in seconds and feels rock solid. Shot a full day of portraits in harsh sun and not a single flare ruined a frame, which is exactly what I needed.

The screw-on design was much easier to attach than I expected, and it's cut down on lens flare noticeably during golden hour shoots. Feels solidly built, too—like it'll hold up to regular use.
