This 10-foot extension fits snug into my camera's mic port with no static or signal drop, which was my main worry with a longer cable. I've used it for two outdoor interviews so far and the audio remains clear even when I'm moving around a bit.

Finally found a 10-foot cable that doesn't introduce static or hum into my recordings. The male and female connectors fit snugly into both my mic and camera without any looseness.

Plugged this between my shotgun mic and camera and the 10-foot length is exactly what I needed to get the mic up on a boom without yanking the camcorder around. The 3.5mm male and female ends both click in snug, no wiggle, no hum in the recording.
