The VR really helps at the long end—I can hand-hold shots at 200mm that would've been blurry otherwise. For a used lens, the autofocus is snappy and quiet, and the zoom ring moves smoothly without any stickiness.

I’m impressed this used lens is so sharp at 200mm even wide open. The autofocus locks on quickly for moving subjects, and the compact size makes it easy to carry all day with my camera body.

The VR stabilization on this used lens works great for handheld shots at the long end—came in handy during a recent birding trip. For the price, it’s a solid telephoto zoom for my DX camera.
