Canon EW-78F Lens Hood

The bayonet mount clicked on securely with zero wobble—a relief after cheap third-party hoods that constantly loosen. Shorter focal length shots now have noticeably richer contrast thanks to the shading it provides.

Noticed the difference right away in harsh sunlight—this hood cuts down glare way better than the basic one I was using. The bayonet mount is sturdy and locks on with a satisfying click, no wobble.

Fits perfectly on the lens and clicks into place with a satisfying, solid feel. It does a great job cutting down glare when shooting in bright sunlight, and the build quality is exactly what I expected. Definitely worth the investment for protecting the front element.
