Nikon HB-105 Lens Hood

Took this out on a rainy morning and the rigid build kept every drop off the front element while I was shooting. Fits perfectly on the 400mm f/4.5 and locks securely with no wobble.

The lock mechanism clicks into place on my Z lens and feels solid—no wobble at all. It's cut down lens flare noticeably on overcast mornings, which I wasn’t expecting.

Went out shooting in bright sunlight yesterday and this hood virtually eliminated the flare I used to get with my 400mm lens. Feels very sturdy on the lens and the bayonet mount locks in place with a solid, reassuring click. Money well spent for keeping the front element protected from rain splatter
