Sony ALC-SH182 Lens Hood

The original Sony hood is the only one that sits flush against the lens barrel without any wobble, and the finish matches the lens body perfectly. The bayonet locking ring is tight enough that I never worry about it popping off mid-shoot, yet it rotates off smoothly when I need to pack up.

The bayonet mount clicks in with a satisfying snap, and it locks tight with zero wobble even when the lens is pointed downward. Shading works exactly as expected in harsh side light, cutting the flare I used to get on sunny days.

The matte black finish matches my lens perfectly and doesn’t create any reflections I can see. It blocks stray light effectively, even with the sun low in the sky.
